Lamar Odom: Zach Randolph Isn't Dirty, Just Plays Hard

Clippers Forum » Clippers News & General Discussions

Okay I understand he wasn't on the team before this years but this statement bugged me considering how many cheap shots he's given Blake. Punching players in the faces, trying to sumo toss them? I mean comon. Dude is dirty as hell and Odom needs to drop the respect act for Zbo or the Grizzlies and understand he came into a situation where a rivalry exists. You better bring it tomorrow Odom.

"A lot of players aren't used to banging every play," Odom said." No matter if he's facing you or in back of you or on the side, he's banging. He's not dirty; he plays hard."

Z Bo is an old school player. Similar to Charles Barkley but not as athletic.

Agree, he definitely was always dirty to Blake. I don't know if he plays dirty to other players though.

Agree, Odom better play tough against him.

Z Bo is jealous he doesn't have Blake's strength and athleticism.

He is an old school type of player. He wouldn't be considered a dirty player 20 years ago but in this cream puff league he is definitely by definition a dirty player.

Lol... comon CP3 are you a new NBA fan? I've watched Zbo since Portland and he has punched 4 players including 2 teammates since he's been in the league, always for incredibly petty things. He's delivered his fair of cheapshots including 3-4 on Blake alone. I'm all for old school physical players... but he's absolutely dirty and it has nothing to do with cream puff league. Since when is it okay to punch players, throw players to the ground from behind sumo style?

When did I say he wasn't a dirty player? I said he probably wouldn't really be considered a dirty player in the past. Players back then got away with being a lot more physical and there were players back that make Zbo look like a girl scout.

Btw Zbo is a lot more physical with Blake than he is with other players and so far it seems like it has limited Blake quite a lot especially in the rebounds department.

On a side note, Memphis won again. We need to take them out. They won 12 of their last 13 games.

Z-Bo just back from an ankle injury. Let's hope Blake's newfound crossover breaks that fucker!

And yes, he's a dirty player.

Tomorrow is a must win game for sure. We are only .5 up right now.

zbo has always said that he enjoys getting under blake's skin because it affects him.

BG needs to just focus on his own game

Zbo hates Blake because he went from LA to Memphis.

Still remember when Zbo tossed BG during the playoffs. I like his toughness though, he's not one of those fake tough guys

Yep! I hate all these " he's dirty, he's mean to Blake Griffin" comments. Blake Griffin is a big boy, the day he stands up for himself is the day other players will stop coming for him. I knew Blake was kinda suspect the day he let Jared Dudley get in his face and bark at him.

Nothing wrong with Z-Bo getting up for games against Blake. arrow

PS- Hope Blake posterizes bytch ass Z-Bo tomorrow

agreed. i feel if bg elbowed him to retaliate for his dirty play, he would get punished instead of randolph. i remember when BG was pulled by randolph and BG overpowered him and flung him to the ground, he got the tech and not randolph. i like physical play, but let the guys officiate themselves. if you arent going to call the bs randolph pulls, dont punish BG for retaliating and defending himself.

crying and complaining about it won't help anything.

^ we are the clippers, where we get a whole different criteria regarding what we can do compared to what other teams can do. if bg elbows randolph, he will get a tech but ZBO can cheap shot griffin with impunity.

What exactly do u want blake to do??

If he retaliates he'll get kicked out, we'll lose and everyone will say he needs to be smarter

It will get treated just like when garnett got under melos skin

Then we will all hear how bg has to be smarter smh

Yup, Blake literally took his job. The minute we got word that we got the #1 pick that year Dunleavy made no secret that we were picking Blake Griffin. Zach was released and Memphis immediately picked him up.

I still am mad that we just let Randolph walk, we could have at least gotten a draft pick for him in a trade.

If our guys want to , they can muscle up to anyone that wants to be dirty,,Zbo or anyone Face it,,we have Barnes and he is not pushover (and can be a thug if he needs be), nor is Ronny or Lamar. they just ahve to want to push back. And yeah,,Zach is dirty but he is not on an island in that respect.

Actually.Page not released. We stupidly traded Zbo for peanuts. We should of gotten a 1st round pick or soething out of it.

my bad. Ither way though traded or released we did give him up for peanuts. A 20/10 player in the front courtshould comman a better return Wink

I agree. It was a dumb trade. We also gave Camby away for peanuts and should have gotten a pick then too.

calm down tough guy, im sure bg would respond in kind, but unfortunately he is too important to be thrown out of a game of this magnitude. jared dudley in that instance was just an instigator. he was trying to bait griffin. smart of griffin to just walk away. thats why we have hollins and barnes and to an extent turiaf to deal with fools like ZBO
