Kevin Love Possibility of Trade to Clippers?

Just a little bit of some NBA fantasy humor… I'm not saying the Clippers should or shouldn't or that it's remotely possible but what if.

Kevin Love wants out of Minnesota, If the Clippers somehow acquired Kevin Love, Do you think Blake Griffin and Kevin Love could coexist? LOL

If you want to have a combination of T-Rex arms for our low post players, you acquire Love.

I think I'd rather have Ryan Anderson. Not as good a rebounder as Love, but as good a shooter. Last year Anderson was second only to BG in raw +/- for his team.

i know its not related to the question but for the first time ever, id rather have blake griffin than kevin love. hands down. no question.

I would also choose the Blake Show over the "Love Show?" any day... Love has a more well rounded game but Love has also been in the NBA two more years than Blake plus Blake has been developing more into a complete player each and every year. This whole idea of Blake can only dunk, Blake does not have a post game, and Blake does not have a mid range shot... Out the window.

Do I believe Blake Griffin and Kevin Love could coexist on the same team... Sure. Kevin Love could definitely spread the floor, post up, and rebound... That would compliment Blake's game.

Love has maxed out his potential of where he's going to go in his career. And it's awesome, a big time scorer who can nab 12-15 boards a game is priceless. However, Blake can pass, attack the rim, board, steal and is still not nearing his full offensive and defensive potential.

But, if somehow we got rid of DJ and had Kevin Love and Blake as our PF/C combo, I'd take it in a heartbeat. You kidding me? Blake, CP3 and Love on the same squad? We'd win 2-3 championships playing those 3 guys against 5 easily.

I would definitely do a Eric Bledsoe and DJ for Kevin Love and future first round pick.

I agree... Blake, CP3, and Kevin Love would be lethal. CP3 would enjoying lobing the ball to Blake and assisting the open three to Love...

Kevin Love is terrible defensively at the 4 and is even worse at the 5. And his 3-point shooting isn't THAT amazing. Soooooooooo pass.

Why do some clipper fans wanna blow up this team? Not to overdue the whole "chemistry" thing, but we're doing just fine right now with the pieces we have. Is Love a better player than DJ or Bledsoe? Sure, but he's not a good fit and simply adding better players doesn't translate to wins. Look at the lakers, too many players need/want the ball in their hands, thus causing a lot of friction between that team, same with Brooklyn.

Thank god Sacks actually has some patience, unlike Del negro who apparently needs to get rid of players he doesn't know how to use.

We are not trying to blow up the team... We are just analyze what will most likely never happen. Straight NBA fantasy.

Personally i wouldn't trade any players... Just yet. I actually think Bledsoe will sacrifice less money to stay with the Clippers. In my eyes, Bledsoe should be starting shooting guard next season. DJ is a little more complicated because DJ has gotten better but the Clippers need that security and consistency of a solid center and DJ has not been consistent but I always argue that there is still a lot of upside with DJ because DJ is young and obviously extremely athletic.

Long story short, Clippers need a legitimate third player and an experienced coach to put the Clippers over the top.

What other team can give Minnesota a better deal? Especially when Kevin Love wants to be in Los Angeles

Even if some people think Love is better. Griffin is the guy you want, he has a much higher ceiling. How much better can love really get. He cant just magically get athleticism. Blake is a crazy athlete while having a desire to work harder then anybody. His upside is tremendous. We havnt even seen blake close to his ceiling yet and that is just mind boggling. he is the best pf in the game already as age 23 and he can go down as one of the greats if he keeps improving.

This thread is not about either Blake or Love it is about our team with Blake AND Love.

You are missing the point... Kevin Love wants out of Minnesota and wants to return to Los Angeles. It's not out of the question to think Clippers can make a move if interested... So the initial question was, Do you think Blake Griffin and Kevin Love could coexist?

By the way, one thing is to enjoy playing with a player another thing is getting a player that will make a team better. Westbrook would not make Clippers better but Love would... Plus it's the ASG. All players enjoy playing with or against each other at the ASG.

It is simply a choice of whether or not our chances of winning a championship are better with CP3 and Blake paired with Love or Jordan. The likely trade bait would be Jordan, a first round pick, along with other assets that we don't need.

The Clippers and Blazers are the only teams that should literally ignore his very existence.

Kevin Love would be a great fit on a team like the Grizzlies, who are strong defensively and could benefit from that shooting. If we swapped Blake for Love we would need a lot of defense to balance this team out.

I'm intrigued by the possibility of Love playing with Blake Griffin, but not sure which one would play center. Both could switch during the game I suppose. If the Clippers can trade DeAndre Jordan + fillers for Kevin Love, that would improve the team IMO. DJ has made great strides, but the salary he will likely command after his current contract would limit the team, and there is no guarantee that he will be able to improve his free throw shooting. Unlike Love, Jordan has been extremely durable, however, and of course, is better defensively.

LeBron James would be an even better fit though .

No interest in Love whatsoever on my part. Don't really see that helping our needs, at all. If I'm not mistaken both him and Blake like to work on the same side of the court too. No shot blocking and all offense.

If we were to let go of DJ, I would hope it's for a good wing and serviceable center. Now maybe if you told me the Greek Freak and either Henson or Sanders I could see the overall value added. Henson might be a bit thin, but he's hell of an athlete with a lot of upside. You can then sign Gortat on a short term deal for the time being while Henson develops in a year or two. Wishful thinking. Trust me I don't want to get rid of DJ, but a deal like that would be hard to pass up. Don't see it happening anyways, the Greek Freak is the future of that franchise.

Westbrook could d up guys and make clip more athletic. Westbrook with what we got would make clips champions. He costs too much anyway so that will not happen. How bout stealing Reggie Jackson from OKC? That may be doable.
