Hmmm- does this mean Lebron James would consider joining the Clippers for 2018-19?

Stop. Please don’t start this. West has always been a mentor to him and it doesn’t mean he’s even thinking about coming here. Our team isn’t even close to being a place he’d consider to make a run at a title so do yourselves a favor and don’t start pretending that he might come here. It’s going to make you more upset when he 100% doesn’t come here. I’d guess that at least half the nba owns a house somewhere in Southern California, it means nothing.

Chill dude. Who are you to tell people what they can or can’t talk about? How do you know how they’re going to feel? You don’t have to reply and can move on to other threads. All of us don’t have to be as negative as you.

For sure! BTW nobody can delete posts except myself, and I'd only do it for duplicate posts. The moderators can rename, move, merge threads.

Thanks for posting this news- I wouldn't have known about it otherwise.

Not really giving this even a 1% chance of happening, but, Cleveland isn't going anywhere in the near future. Their plan is to be top 3 lottery team for the next 4 years. That said, "Hey, Danny Gilbert, Danilo + 1st rounder for Lebron sign and trade. Take it or leave it." After that, Call up Paul George's people, Kawhi's people -- they're both SoCal guys, PG was said to be a Clippers fan growing up. Just need one of those two. Lebron + Kawhi + DJ..... Back to reality

Rumor has it Lebron' s two sons will be going to school in LA. this fall. In December 2017 Lebron bought another home in Brentwood. Odds are he's coming to LA. Since there are 2 teams in LA there's a 50% chance of coming to the Clippers. Now that he called Jerry West odds are looking even better. Let's wait and see.

I heard that they're going to move the Cavs to Anaheim and call it a suburb of Cleveland.

I don't think any of us are pretending he's gonna come here. Other than the draft, this might be one of the most boring Clippers off-seasons of all time. But his is news worth posting an talking about. Most of us have been LONG TIME Clippers fans so no one is betting on LeBron to join the Clippers... If he does though... we'll win not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6, not 7. With Basketball and Hockey over, there's still over 80 days left before the NFL season starts and I'd rather talk about his than Tennis, CrossFit, or Strongman competitions.

What if we managed to sign Lebron and he stays here long enough that the clippers also drafted his son. I don't think there's ever a father and son combo as players

But in all seriousness, why even talk about this? Talk about things that might happen. Talk about the draft. Talk about the weather. Some of you actually are going to talk enough about this that you’re going to think it’s a possibility that Lebron might ever be a Clipper.

But I guess people like to torture themselves so have at it. Toohip leading the charge

Not another father/son combo. At least get rid of the current one first....

Is LeBron actually gonna play for Luke Walton? They're 4 years apart. Then again, he is best friends with CP3 who probably paints a horribly ugly picture of Doc Rivers... His LA options are kind of crap. Jerry probably told him to play for Houston.

We have had differences in the past like 2 years ago but I discussed it in PM. You were saying things that made no sense. It seemed like you had the intelligence to understand your error but you went forth cloaked in ignorance. FACT. We agreed to disagree and I thought by gone's were by gone's and I had forgotten about it. Your hostile reply to my post was inappropriate and flat out wrong. Two of the things I said are quite arguably true. As well you didn't know what a rookie is. You know what I do for a living and I CAN"T have psychiatric problems. If you have a problem you know where the PM button is. You can be rude and insulting there but you show a total lack of class bringing it here The public forum is not a place for personal disputes.

You never answered. Are you out of high school yet? Are your comments from immaturity, rudeness, or both? I will publish how many years I've studied if you post yours first. You know what mine are.

Ballmer should offer him a stake in ownership once his career is over.

Yes, I am out of high school and yes I have a college degree. I don’t think how long you’ve studied means you’re any smarter.

I don’t know what you do for a living, I assumed you were retired and living in a home. As far as psychiatric problems, I have no clue what kind of issues you have either.

And I guess my comments come from part bewilderment at some of the ridiculous things you say and part from rudeness because I don’t think you know what you’re talking about and just like to harken back to the old days and make off the wall analogies.

Hope that answers all your questions.

I have never been rude to anybody on this board as anybody will attest to. If I wanted to be rude, I could do a lot better than I have. I'm good at it when I CHOOSE. There are people on this board who are old enough to remember the old days and many of my comments are directed at them not younger people who I know will not understand for instance drinking the kool aide. "Like cream to coffee, like Satchel to Paige" a line from a famous old comedy routine. I use a lot of irony on purpose and sometimes the analogies are outrageous and should not be taken too seriously. If you have problems with my facts or opinions, I will be happy to explain them.

You have always been a good poster and for some reason you're pissing everybody off. "Go with the flow man, take a chill pill"

#1 toohips drunk posts are the best... they've inspired me a bit to get spirited (pun intended) and type away.

#2 I really think that I feel where you are coming from... but idle talk is idle talk... it is the offseason, we are bored, and our team sucks... AGAIN. There are many threads I do not participate in because I feel the same way you do.

#3 people have different interests different days... I might be irked by LeBron talks one day, not care about them the next day, and indulge in the conversation on another day. Mood swings are a part of being human, your patience level and the amount of crap you deal with on a day-to-day basis changes, etc...

#4 news can alter your thoughts and projections... I think LBJ calling West is something. I think hiring a former coach of the Thunder while KD was there is something... I think LBJs kids coming to LA is something... I think him having houses here and business in Hollywood is somewhat something.

but I really do not care too much... I really don't think ANYONE can dismantle the (healthy) GSW as currently constructed. I think the Rockets 7 game series was a fluke. But I am interested in anyone that can get close.

I work at a sports bar and since I'm not huge baseball guy, that period between NBA/NHL and NFL can be quite brutal. My booze intake drops significantly, though.

I think the leagues should get together and carve out months that don't overlap. I hate that you do sort of miss out on some games.
