To be honest... I would much rather have Ty Wallace or Sindarius Thornwell signed... but are we all sticking to the #InJerryWeTrust model?

Would of much rather signed Ty to be honest. CJ isn’t a bad pick, but Ty has way more upside. Anyone have the numbers to this contract?

Yea, Ty and Sindarius was preferred by me as well... Wasn't let down by CJ, just not impressed much either.

Sindarius is still under contract.

Hopefully they get it figured out with Ty

Williams is still good wing depth, and it's likely a very reasonable contract.

Is Wes Johnson expiring yet?

Wes has a player option worth around 6 mi for the next season. He'll probably opt in.

Yeah, 18-19 is Wes' final year. CJ was playing awesome before he got hurt, and like you said, I'm sure the contract is very reasonable. I'd wager there are much bigger fish to fry in the next few months so I wouldn't wring my hands over this signing too much.

There are advantages to being a 29 year old rookie, you're 29 not 21. Your testosterone level is no longer higher than your IQ. When you sign him, he's been around enough that you know what he's made of, 6'5" 225#.

Assume Austin and DJ opt out, we have one big contract, Gallo. Bradley's gone and pretty sure Beverly is. Milos will stay and Wes will get traded. Trezz is a RFA? He won't be cheap but worth it. We have a lot to work with. This team doesn't feel like the Keystone Cops like the Clipps can be. A lot will depend on DEVELOPMENT. We have raw talent but we've sucked at refining it except Austin (Guys Don't Start). I would rather hear Stu "the EEEasy Deuce" Lance say "It's Kobe time" than to hear Doc say "Big Three". I'm glad that pipe dream is over. I love you Ricky Davis, where ever you are. It's legal now.

CJ has played pretty well- solid defender and can shoot the 3. He's not flashy but does a lot of the little things to help the team. Hopefully Ty Wallace is next to be signed!

We’re not winning anything anytime soon so sign guys to cheap contracts, gets as many picks as possible, and hopefully in a couple years we’ll have a nice young core and tons of cap space.

Don’t ever want to see Wes, DJ, Gallo, and Austin in a Clippers uniform ever again.

If we could flip Beverly and or Harris for 1st rd picks would be cool. I think Sin can be a starting 2 in the league

Harris is a keeper. We are seeing him as a number 1 scoring option. Imagine him as your 2nd best scorer or 3rd best. That would be an awesome team.

I think we can keep Harris, he is still young but the rest is ok.

Harris is def a keeper. You have a guy who can play the 3 and 4, shoot 3’s @41%, dribble, get to the basket, averages 19 - 6 - 3.... at age 25... who are you going to flip him for? He is exactly the type of guy you want on your team at age 27-28 complimenting 2 superstars.

Would definitely rather hear that we signed Wallace, CJ's Okay, but like others I think Wallace has a lot more upside.

Don't bet on it. With work in the off season and a good training camp even throwing in Gallo, we have a group of young talented journeymen and cheap. Maybe you undervalue the potential of these guys. Gallo is a damned good player, he's just fragile. Not his fault. He's not BG who dogs it. This team has swagger. I'm proud of the guys, as proud if not more so than our PO losses. Players have Brand names. MJ GOAT, CP Point God, DJ Rim Protector, defensive anchor. They may or may not be that but ask a fan about DJ and the knee jerk response is "Rim Protector". "Austin Sucks", that's his brand. He could walk on water and some of you would complain if he got his feet wet. The problem is Doc. Austin didn't demand to play too much etc etc. It was Doc's decision. He put his son into one awful position and I think Austin as a guy has handled it well. What if Sam had been coaching him? Would you have a problem? Would he do the same silly things? It's all on Doc. We don't know what a well coached Austin is like. I could handle Austin without Doc. Tobias has a HUGE upside. We got rookie guards who started and didn't embarrass themselves. Who did Thornwell guard? (whom, sorry Mom). LBJ for starters. We got rid of our Primo Dons and we're back to blue collar grit. Each of our "Big Three" had their own behavioral baggage which is gone. The most important bag left to drop is Doc. Yes kudos Doc for not letting the team implode. With one less injury we could have made the POs but what saved us were Lou's isos not good coaching. The senior member....

It would be awesome but I wonder what direction He team is going to take. If they were to remain competitive then Harris would be a nice player to have and possibly extend. But if we’re going to miss the playoffs and develop young talent, might as well get some assets in return. I like Harris, he’s the best SF we’ve had since Maggette

Don't think they plan on a long rebuild. They did what needed to be done for a quick rebuild. They traded their stars for assets, unlike what the Lakers did with Kobe, Pau and D12. They would have rebuilt quickly if they traded those guys rather than let them leave for nothing. Trust in Jerry West. West's trades usually come without warning so just because we don't hear anything, doesn't mean there is nothing being discussed.

Group A) Players that should be kept. Harris and Harrell. Group B) Young players that may be kept because they are cheap and have some promise and value, but can also be moved without great loss. Thornwell, Evans, Wallace and Dekker. Group C) The middle range of players who are not building blocks for the future and are relatively expensive. Some of these guys do have some trade value and one or two should remain for continuity, etc. Austin, Boban, Bradley, Williams, Milos, Beverly, DJ. We might be able to get a sign and trade with DJ, which would be great to move him for a pick and some youth. Lou's stock will never be higher, his contract good, so since we are not going anywhere in the next two seasons, I would definitely be looking to move him now. Though I like Austin, his big liability is having his dad as coach. Its potential for morale busting is not worth keeping him and if he expects a bigger payday, that is all the more reason to disqualify him from staying here. Boban is too much fun not to keep. Milos is an ideal PG to keep while his replacement (hopefully taken in this year's draft) is prepped to take over the role in his rookie year. I have never thought much of Beverly. We don't need a 6'1" guard who can't play point and isn't young enough to grow with the team. Bradley is just a good player, still relatively young. If he can be brought back for a contract comparable to the one that just ended, he might be worth keeping. I don't see him getting more, given his failures with Detroit and injuries with us. So, of this group, I try to keep Milos, Bradley and Boban. The....
