MRI reveals LA Clippers forward Danilo Gallinari suffered broken right hand

After a brief eight-game return to the Clippers' rotation, Danilo Gallinari will once again be sidelined indefinitely.

The team announced that an MRI revealed a non-displaced fracture in the veteran forward's right hand, which prior x-rays did not identify. The injury will keep the 6-10 forward out of action for at least another two weeks, when he will be re-evaluated. He initially suffered the injury against Golden State on Feb. 22.

Gallinari has played just 19 games in his first year with the Clippers, averaging 15.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists per contest while shooting 40.7 percent from the field.

Pretty sad that we have to put up with this for two more seasons.

At least we don’t have to worry about the Blake contract.

Another misdiagnosed or missed injury by our training staff. When will they be fired!? Unbelievable.

Gonna be hard dumping his contract. Galo, and Pat Bev should be package together. They both have a long history of being injured. Let's draft a point guard and a SF.

It adds of Jerry West headache. I think the only way Gallo can play the whole season is to give him 6 minutes of playing time lol!. Two good players with a soft bone.

Add a 1st rd pick. It’ll help rid ourselves of those 2. Add Bradley to that.

This injury is easy to miss. 90% of people would miss it the first time.

Nobody is going to want his contract.. I knew it was a bad move to waste that 1st rounder on him.. what a joke

SMH. I mean, I feel for the guy, but I really hope there's some way we can unload him and his contract after this season, because there will never be a point where he's healthy and regularly contributes.

We need him and Bradley ASAP. The road trip is going to be tough

Gallo is a lost cause. Maybe the biggest fail during the Jerry West era.

Not really counting on Gallo’s contribution for this year or the next. The following year will be the time to unload the expiring contract into something.

The hand thing is more of an accident than an injury. He may have fragile bones but he probably hit something hard, maybe unavoidable. The glute was an injury. I remember a couple of times when he destroyed us. What if he was out half the season and back for most of the last half? Would that be OK? Maybe that was the gamble and we lost.

I think it’s the same thing as with BG. Some may be injuries, some may be accidents, but they all amount to missed time and are so consistent you can set your watch to them. Definitely a gamble we lost.

Broken bone in the hand, strained ass muscles, torn ACL, torn labrum, it's all the same, missed games. The man has only played in 16 games. He's an outstanding player, but what's the point. The best ability is availability.

Waive him and stretch his salary out over 4-5 years.. lets face it he's a lost cause.

Doesn't look too likely at this point, we could sure use Wallace again too but it doesn't seem like much is happening with that either. The guy they signed on the 10 day appears to be virtually useless. As banged up as we are this upcoming stretch could get ugly.

Forget that. I’d prefer to write him off completely after 2 years. Plus we could still trade the pansy after one year because they’ll be interested at the expiring portion on his final year. Just like blake, he’s dead weight. No need to prolong the matter.

Gallo broke his hand during Eurobasketball in the off-season. I wonder if it's the same hand.

It's almost a sure thing that it was a different injury When you punch somebody you get a boxer's fracture. That is REAL obvious, You can't miss it. Please no discussion but BG broke his hand in the same place. Guys please learn proper punching technique or use an open hand. Better still pee on their leg.

The present injury was from Draymond elbowing it. Probably not on purpose. It's a real subtle crack.
