Pretty touching quotes from Sterling's wife.. who said she's been waiting for this moment all her life... as in the Clippers being relevant and good. I guess she's been Sterling's backbone.

Congrats to CP3 and DTS. We obviously see what DTS has done lately for the franchise (spending money, investing in this team), but we never hear quotes from him directly like tonight that express his happiness of everything that is happening. Good stuff DTS.

This one cracked me up...

"There are some players that are selfish," she said. "They want to score all the points and they don't care about sharing the ball."

I wonder who she could be referring to... (cough, kobe, cough)

Great night for the franchise. Hopefully, it's only the first trophy CP3 hoists this year.

now mr sterling, how about going a lil over the luxury tax to resign most of the guys on this roster and maybe add a good FA this coming offseason.

I'm proud of Sterling for stepping up publicly and acknowloging CP3 accomplishment. It shows that he really is proud of them. And that he does care. Aswell as his wife. It but a huge smile to my face when I read that article. I squash what sterling has done off the court. I don't care about that. Were all human and make mistakes. All I care is what product he puts out on that court. And if Cp3 and BG say he's a great guy. Then that's good enough for me. Cause they personally know him more than we do! I love my Clippers! Go Clips!

I've always thought Sterling got an unfair rap in terms of spending. We've never had anyone that wonderful to spend money on. We tried to spend money on players Brand and a few other, but they left money on the table to leave. Sterling built one of the best practice facilities in the nation. He's not cheap he just wanted to spend money on value and we couldn't get the big time players to come. It was overcoming the reputation that we had that none of the top players wanted to overcome. The Blake ping pong ball fell and that was step one. Paul's vision of the Clippers potential and willingness to promote the Clippers changed the persona. We got 2 once in a lifetime players that are high quality people and that trickles down.

I am happy that CP3 and DTS have a good relationship and everyone is happy. Glad to see DTS supporting his all-stars...I hope all the suffering Clipper fans are enjoying this season as much as I am. Can you imagine 5 more years of CP3 and Blake? Good to be a clipper!!

Toprank, you sound like a smart guy. All that you said, is exactly the way I feel aswell. DTS couldnt spend top money on players that werent worth spending it on. This is a brilliant understanding of the matter from you. Last guy Elton Brand was a good player but he was in no way CP3 status. And if Elton Brand left money on the table then he did us a favor. Cause wed still be lingering with that headache. Cause once he left the Clippers he was non existant after that. And it hasnt been DTS fault that big time players dint want to come. He is not cheap. Spending 50 million on a practice facility is not being cheap. And trust me he will offer CP3 max money. And if our superstars. CP3 and BG say that hes a great guy. They know him better than us. And that it good enough for me to love our owner. Enough said! I love my Clippers! GO CLIPS!

Sterling should get the credit for where the franchise was, as for where the franchise is now and in the future. A lesson learned...it's never to late to change.

Good times are here and hopefully more to come in the future. Enjoy the ride, it's historical in Clipper history.

Damn, CP3 is like a freaking basketball miracle. Even DONALD STERLING is changing his ways because of CP3. Just think about that. Wow.

I suspect, after reading that,,Mrs DTS is DEMANDING that MR DTS buy her a winner and he finally did and she is very very happy. If momma ain't happy, ain't no one happy.

I know I am happy.

Still to this day I smile when I think about CP3 on the team. How often do you get your favorite PG, and one of your favorite NBA players traded to your team?

Sterling should have been shelling out money years ago. I guarantee if he did we'd have a couple banners of our own to be proud of.

He shelled a lot of money years ago paying millions to Kaman who is always injured,Brand, and the famous Baron Davis, the problem is the players going into the season game not prepared.

If anything I think he's guilty of overpaying. Look at the big contracts he's offered to above average talent. More than they were probably worth. We got lucky when Brand turned us down. That would've been overpayed. We just couldn't get anyone worth their salt to come here. Now things have changed. Step 1 was Blake and step 2 CP3...now we're a destination!!

So easy but so hard at the same time, especially for us. Kind of like when you hit a birdie in golf after a bunch of bogies and double bogies. Good drive, good iron and a putt...that's it. Sounds easier than it is.

Yep, some golfer's make it look easier than others, as do some BB franchises.

We moved from the Charles Barkley golfer to a 1st rate amateur.

Very Happy

You got that right Worm! He sure overpayed for those bums. That set us back some years. But DTS is not cheap. Hes paying BG. And he will sure prove it again when he locks up CP3....I love my Clippers! GO CLIPS!

I think not having Elgin Baylor anymore had a lot to do with it. Sterling was shelling out money towards the end of Elgin's career with the Clippers but it was for bums stated above. I's hard to believe how incompetent Elgin Baylor was. Drafting utter failures in Benoit Benjiman, Danny Ferry, Olowokandi, D Miles, Kaman, etc. Making countless questionable moves. I find it blasphamy that this guy managed to win Executive of the Year in 06. Imagine where the Clippers would be right now if Elgin Baylor was still the GM. He would have drafted someone else instead of Blake Griffin for the #1 pick, Eric Gordan would have been signed to an absurd contract despite his knees being held together by duct tape and Elmore's glue after turning down the Chris Paul trade like a re-re.

We could all give thanks to this one ex coach/GM that turn this franchise around, Mike Dunleavy. He brought the sparks and an actual basketball mind to this franchise. Made some great acquisition such Sam I Am and Cat Mobley, give us a future first round pick which we would use for CP3, draft Kaman, Eric Gordon, and etc. Most importantly, he even have Donald built our own state-of the art practice facility. Despite his shortcomings as a coach and money issue with Donald, Mike Dunleavy should held accountable for all these affirmative actions going on currently. Without him, we'll still be riding draft picks.
